According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), in 2021, there were 38 million people who were diagnosed with diabetes in the US, and about 29 million were undiagnosed. Another 125 million have pre-diabetes condition. It is so prevalent in the general population. All sorts of medical conditions are associated with diabetes. Comorbidities include cardiovascular, neurological, and renal among others. This course will review the emergencies related to diabetes and will attempt to assist care providers in managing patients with diabetes.
