Individuals living in long-term, acute, and chronic care settings are among the most vulnerable populations during an emergency. A lot of residents/ patients in healthcare settings have mobility impairments and/or have cognitive issues so evacuation of the facility would always be a challenge. Therefore, it is important for caregivers and planners who care for persons residing in these settings to be prepared and know how to respond in an emergency. This course will explore the possible interventions the nursing staff perform when an emergency disaster happens
