Palliative and Hospice Care – One Hour CE

Palliative and hospice care is part of the continuum of care for those with terminal illnesses. It is often misunderstood, even by healthcare professionals, that they are the same. Both palliative care and hospice care provide comfort. However, palliative care can begin at the time of diagnosis and treatment. Hospice care, however, begins after treatment of the disease is stopped and when it is clear that the person is not going to survive the illness. This course reviews the relevant aspects of care for a patient at the end of life.
